The Assignment Bureau (Part 5)

Satan is a master of distraction.

He distracted Adam and Eve with a serpent (Genesis 3:1-6).

He distracted Abraham and Sarah with Hagar (Genesis 16:1-4).

He distracted Samson with Delilah (Judges 16).

He distracted David with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11).

He tried to distract Jesus with bread (Matthew 4:1-3).

The enemy knows that he can't stop God's assignment for us. But he can distract us enough so that we become an obstacle to achieving our assignment.

The question is, are you able to distinguish between your assignment and a distraction?

More to come tomorrow.

God bless,
J.W.

Sneak Attack

"Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’" ~ Matthew 4:1-3

When did Satan tempt Jesus?

When He was about to enter a new season in His life and ministry.

When God blesses and elevates you, expect attack.

It’s Satan’s M.O.

God bless,
J.W.
