Ready.... Or Not?

"His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’" ~ Matthew 25:21

My Pastor always says that faith is not about how hard you believe something, it's about how long you believe it.

So, when God tests us in the small things in preparation for something bigger, we're often ready for the bigger thing before God gives it to us.

The question is, not whether you're willing to do the small things. The question is, how long are you willing to do them?

You might be ready but God is testing your patience and your willingness to endure (Galatians 6:9).

Endure to the end!

God bless,

Actions > Words

"Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister." ~ 1 John 4:20-21

So many times we fall for the okie doke and trust people based off of what they say.

But I'm here to tell you that a person's actions reveal much more than their words can.

It's a biblical principle that John tries to teach us in 1 John 4.

How can we say we're a Christian and that we love Jesus if we're not showing love to our fellow man?

How can we claim to represent Him and we're not doing what he commanded us (John 14:23)?

Actions over words. All day, every day.

God bless,

Too Short (Part 3)

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

If only we were to view our weakness the way God sees them.

We view weaknesses as flaws to be corrected. God sees them as opportunities for submission.

We view weaknesses as burdens that can take us down. God views weaknesses as blessings that can take us higher.

Instead of viewing our flaws as things to be fixed or hidden, God encourages us to accept our flaws as leverage points for Him to show his strength.

What a revolutionary idea! That weaknesses are not problems but opportunities to submit to God's strength.

Change your perspective today!

God bless,

Too Short (Part 2)

“'You will not certainly die,' the serpent said to the woman. 'For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.'” ~ Genesis 3:4-5

Perfectionism is a trick of the enemy to get us to fall out of alignment with God.

When we strive for perfection, what we're really striving for is to be God himself. That's the same mistake Eve made in the Garden.

The serpent dared her to eat the fruit in defiance of God (Genesis 3:1). He told her "God knows you will be like Him if you eat the fruit."

That single mistake caused a whole slew of ills for generations to come.

It should serve as a warning to us!

The minute we try to be God, we are out of alignment with Him. The Bible calls this sin. Perfectionism is sin.

More to come!

God bless,
